Published six times a year, our parish newsletter – The Gathering – is one of the print resources you can look to for the story behind the events. The newsletter gives you advance notice about parish events; insightful opinion pieces about issues that we face locally, nationally and globally; and updates about life in the parish.
This publication is produced entirely by members of the parish – from the newsletter editorial team to the artists who provide the cover artwork to the writers who provide the articles. The publication schedule is Autumn/Harvest,, / , season, and Summer.
The Communications Committee has as its goal an increased awareness of the parish by those who live and work and play in the area.
Some who will come through our doors will have a life-long attachment to a Christian community of faith; others will have had only sporadic connections to church life; others yet will have no church experience, memory or vocabulary. All of them may be seeking to find a home where that deep and abiding faith or those subtle promptings of the Spirit to seek the "something more" in life can be explored, nurtured, and deepened. The committee explores ways to reach out to each of these groups so that they will feel encouraged to walk through our doors for the first time.
In addition to this website and Redeemer's biweekly eNews, we have also designed flyers for Christmas and Easter services and distributed them to the neighbourhood, prepared brochures on the history of the parish, its stained glass, the Casavant organ, our Lunch Program and the Eden London Price Memorial Chapel, designed a bookmark for visitors with service times, and created inserts for our sandwich board on Bloor Street.
