Vestry 101
What is Vestry?
Vestry is the Annual Meeting of the Church of the Redeemer and is the chief governing body of the Church.
Who can attend?
We want everyone who thinks of the Church of the Redeemer as their church home, or as a church about which they care or have opinions, to come to Vestry. Voting privileges are extended to anyone who is at least 16 years old, has been attending this parish for 3 months or more, and who has actually ‘been to church’ 3 times in the past 12 months and who will not be voting at another vestry meeting elsewhere.
Materials to prepare for the Annual Vestry Meeting
Materials from the previous year’s Annual Vestry Meeting
You can find the materials for last year’s meeting on the Governance Page of this website. The reports for 2022 as well as the budget that we adopted for 2023 are also included there. It may be helpful to review the sustainability principles adopted by the Board of Management that ensure a balanced budget is set each year.
