I Wonder as I Wander: Advent Walks

“I Wonder as I Wander”: Walking Together Monday Evenings in Advent

Redeemer Explorers invites you to join fellow travellers each Monday in Advent for a guided evening candlelit walk of 30 to 40 minutes. The walks will begin at 5:30 PM setting out from and returning to Redeemer.

Gather ahead of our 5:30 departure from the front steps of the church. The walks are a chance to socialize with friends, renew acquaintances and make new ones, in a format that encourages awareness of our surroundings and mindful attention to where we are right now, as we carry light along the early evening streets. The walks are conceived with the words of Walter Burghardt in mind: “Contemplation is a long, loving look at the real.”

Facilitators will lead each walk on the theme of the evening:

November 28: Hope, led by Paul Pynkoski

Please register for each walk, so we have an idea of the numbers, and we can contact you if bad weather causes us to reschedule at the last minute. You can attend just one, or all four. You can say goodbye when we return to the church or go off for dinner together with others at a nearby pub.
