Marginalia

Sunday, November 17, 2019, 10:00am - 12:00pm

“Marginalia” are the marks you scribble around the border edges of a book – you know the comments, jokes, critiques, and doodles sure to drive any librarian crazy. This fall, Redeemer launched a Sunday morning learning series by the same name. Think of it as a kind of Sunday School for grown-ups.

Making the Bible
Ever wonder where the Bible came from? In this two-part series (November 10 & 17), we’ll venture behind the scenes of the Bible’s making. When and why were the Christian Scriptures in their two parts-the so-called “Old” and “New” Testaments-composed? And how did this hand-me-down book get from the Ancient Near East to the corner of Avenue and Bloor?

To make sure anyone can attend, sessions will run twice each Sunday in the Board Room on the lower level:

  • 10 AM-11 AM for folks who attend the 11:15 AM service
  • 11 AM-12 PM for folks who attend the 9:30 AM service

More information and a list of all sessions is available here.
