Our Home and Treaty Land (Sundays)

Your Indigenous Solidarity Working Group is inviting you to take part in a book group beginning late October and running for three sessions.

Our Home and Treaty Land: Walking Our Creation Story is written by Raymond Aldred and Matthew Anderson. Aldred is the director of the Indigenous Studies Program at the Vancouver School of Theology. He is ordained with the Anglican Church of Canada. Aldred is status Cree from the Swan River Band, Treaty 8. Matthew Anderson is Affiliate Professor in Theological Studies at Concordia University. He is an ordained Lutheran pastor.

Rediscover the larger, richer and more honest identity that comes from treaty.
Rediscover our shared history. Then walk with those to whom the land belongs.

In- Person Group:
Meet on Sundays at the church at 12:30 PM – Nov. 5, 12 and 26. Bring a snack.

Meet the Authors:
There will be an opportunity to meet Raymond Aldred and Mathew Anderson on Sunday, Nov. 19, 12:30 PM. The in-person group will meet at the church. Those who met Monday evenings will be able to join via Zoom.

Purchasing the book:
The ISWG purchased several copies of the book from Wood Lake Books. It will be available for purchase following the Sunday 10:30 AM service starting October 8. Cost is $ 20.00. Wood Lake Books does not have any copies of Our Home and Treaty Land.
