Your Getting Our House in Order team would like you to give yourselves a hand. To date, you have raised a smidge over $740,000 for the project. This is no small feat…and it’s not over!
We come to you with so much gratitude! The Redeemer community has come together to invest in a home that has stood on this corner since 1879. It’s no surprise this house could use some getting in order!
We have just under two weeks left to reach our goal of $1,150,000. Not a small feat either, but Redeemer has proven itself to be worthy of larger than small feats. No gift or pledge is too small. Perhaps a heftier gift (or two) may be waiting for us. We’ve come this far, look where we could be.
Again, giving is not supposed to hurt. There are many ways to make a donation. If you have been thinking about making a gift, pledge, or topping up your existing pledge, now is the time!
We look forward to announcing our final total on Sunday, May 5. Get ready to celebrate! Wouldn’t it be more than we could ask or imagine if we had 1,150,000 reasons to celebrate? Can you believe we came up with a line like that?
The “Getting Our House In Order” campaign aims to:
- Upgrade lighting, audio, video in the worship space to enhance the in-person and online worship experience and to attract rental income.
- Restore and maintain the Casavant organ, an integral part of our worship experience.
- Get our House, and everything wonderful it stands for, recognized as a place of welcome on the corner of Avenue and Bloor.
- Upgrade electrical circuitry near the kitchen, chancel, and outside westside lighting.
- Upgrade the narthex kitchen for efficient use during church functions and rental catering
- Install a stairlift to the third floor to provide much needed accessibility
- Replace investment monies, taken from the Fierra fund, used for the emergency HVAC repairs.

We would like to conclude the Getting Our House in Order project with a well-deserved celebration. A Special Vestry will be scheduled for Sunday, May 26 to discuss funds raised and to decide what projects will be funded in the short and long term based on one-time gifts, pledges, and legacy gifts. Save the date, your house wants you there.
