Thinking of stopping by?

We love welcoming people!
Here are some things we thought might help you feel more at home.

An inclusive community | Which Service should I choose? | What happens? | Beginners welcome! | Kids & Youth

We are an inclusive community.

We love welcoming people! Regardless of whether you come from a different faith tradition, or none at all – our doors are open wide to you. Regardless of whether you are in the middle of a successful career or without a job at the moment; married with children, divorced and remarried, or arriving on your own – there are others like you in our church. Regardless of your sexual orientation, gender identity, or personal history – you are invited here.

The Redeemer is a community exploring what faith and spiritually mean for us, both individually and as a community, with open minds and respect for the different places on the journey we find ourselves. While we are followers of Jesus in the Anglican tradition, we also live with a deep awareness that we don't have all the answers. We're not the kind of community that asks you to check your questions, doubts, or brain at the door.

Which service?

We have multiple opportunities to join us in person and online each Sunday. We open the doors at 8:45am for some socializing before Zoom worship begins at 9:00am. Our full, in-person worship service begins at 10:30am, with a mix of classic and contemporary music and a welcoming atmosphere to which kids (yours especially) are firmly invited. Services typically last a little more than an hour, and we always gather for coffee, cookies and conversation afterward.

What happens?

When you arrive, someone will offer you a program leaflet and a hymn book. Find yourself a seat wherever you like, and relax. The leaflet gives you a guide to the service (and additionally contains information on other things going on within the church).

Services are mostly made up of some singing, some listening and reflection, and some prayer. There are some beautiful rituals (including Eucharist) which we hope you'll find meaningful, whether you take part or just observe.

Beginners are always welcome.

It may seem at first like everyone knows exactly what to say and when to say it, but it only seems that way and we're all happy to stumble through our services together.

We’d rather be ‘real’ than ‘perfect’, and we suspect you’d rather that, too.

You‘ll notice some folks wearing blue nametags. Introduce yourself: they’re part of our ‘getting connected’ team and happy to answer any questions you might have.

Kids and Youth

Our 10:30am service on Sunday mornings welcomes families, with an area where restless bodies can move around. We have programs most Sundays for kids and teens.

P.S: If you're concerned that your kids will make too much noise, don’t worry! We love the sound of children among us.
