Season of Creation: Worship at 10:30 AM
Sunday, October 22, 2023, 10:30am
Arrive early to enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack as part of the pre-service fellowship. At 10:30 AM, we gather for worship: a homily, hymns, and choral music and the Eucharist are the foundation of this service. Linger afterwards for a time of fellowship. The service is also available on our YouTube channel. As we move into cold and flu season as well as increasing COVID case counts, wearing a mask in the church is welcomed as part of our care for one another.
We are in the Season of Creation. Today’s theme is “Listen to the Voices of Water.” We welcome Alanna Mitchell as our preacher this morning as we continue our Season of Creation. As the author of Invisible Plastic: What Happens When Your Garbage Ends Up in the Ocean; Dancing at the Dead Sea; and Sea Sick: The Global Ocean in Crisis, Ms. Mitchell has personally engaged with many voices and manifestations of water. We are privileged to have this acclaimed Canadian journalist and author to share her expertise and passion for caring for this aspect of Creation.
To prepare for the service: The First Story of Creation, Part 4-5; Psalm 46; To Water by Kate Marshal Flaherty; Mark 4.35-41
Things you will need for the service: The Bulletin for Voices of Sea at 10:30 AM
Our ability to gather for worship, fellowship and formation and to support the many outreach ministries that are integral to our call to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world is possible thanks to the generous donations of parishioners and friends of the community. If you would like to share in this ongoing work, your gifts are gratefully received. Thank you for your generosity.
