Voices for Peace — A Conference on Peacemaking

Saturday, April 28, 2018, 8:30am - 4:30pm

For those who wish to explore the Christian tradition of non-violence and resistance to evil.

Voices for Peace is a creative collaboration of Redeemer, The Henri Nouwen Society, Citizens for Public Justice, and the Basilian Centre for Peace and Justice. We will gather on April 28, 2017, to hear from Jim Forest, who has worked alongside Dorothy Day, Thomas Merton, Thich Nhat Hahn, and Daniel Berrigan, to promote peace and oppose the violence of war. We will also hear from Juno award winning rapper, Shad, who will speak about the promotion of joy and peace from his vantage point as an artist.

There will be workshops on the spiritual resources to sustain activism, and opportunities to connect with people doing creative, on-the-ground work for peace. Along the way there will be film, music, poetry, and prayer to engage our hearts.
