How We Serve
Part of what makes Redeemer a vibrant church is the generous volunteerism that powers it. Over time, people find themselves called—or just curious—to get more involved, either in our church itself, or in some of the ways we try to serve our local community and the world.
We invite you to explore the different ways you can volunteer at Redeemer. A great place to start is talking to Redeemer members and clergy after the 10:30 worship service or at a Redeemer event.

Care and Justice
Jesus lived a life of radical compassion, and sought to reveal God’s coming Kingdom by pushing back against the injustices of the world he lived in.
We believe he calls on us to do the same.
We are a “hands on” church that wants to contribute back to our neighbourhood and beyond. Thanks to dedicated members, we have created and nurtured a number of active programs and we're always interested to see what you'll want to do next.
Drop-In Program
The Common Table (our drop-in program) is designed to serve those in our neighbourhood who are struggling to find work and stable adequate housing, and related challenges. It is a safe place that offers some shelter, a warm meal and good company. The program brings together staff, volunteers and donors.
About the Program How you can help
Refugee Settlement
In 2014, in the midst of a growing global refugee crisis, volunteers from the Redeemer organized a program to sponsor refugees hoping to make Toronto their home.

There are many ways to contribute to Redeemer’s services, from greeting newcomers to reading scripture and more. Additionally, dedicated volunteers are at the heart of our Kids @ Redeemer program during Sunday morning’s 10:30am service throughout the school year. If you feel called to take a deeper role in our services, please get in touch.
Pastoral Care Team
Our Pastoral Care team assists clergy in caring for those in our community in need of support and connection.

Financial Support
Our church and the work that we undertake relies on the financial generosity of its members, neighbours and supporters. We are called to continue that work and are continually grateful and humbled by the support you offer.

Leadership, boards and committees
Our church is governed by both our Board of Management and our Advisory Board, and at any time there are a number of standing committees providing leadership and oversight on various operations, programs and projects.
