Shirley has been at Church of the Redeemer since she began as our Administrative Assistant in 1998 (she is in her 20th year!) and graduated to be the Executive Assistant to the Incumbent. She has explored a number of professions…from waitress to a postal worker to licensed pest control technician…with lots of administrative roles in between. Her most significant employer (next to Redeemer!) was Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto and when she tried to go back to the ‘corporate’ world, knew she wanted (maybe was called…) to go back to working in a church. She’s been here ever since and never looked back.
