It is a tradition at Redeemer to come together to read one book over the summer as a community. There is an opening plenary, discussion groups are set up for those who would like to meet over the summer to talk about what they are reading and then a closing plenary to share insights on what we’ve read and learned.
This year’s selection is Barbara Brown Taylor’s An Altar in the World: A Geography of Faith.
The kick-off event will be on Thursday, June 25 from 7-8 PM with reading groups beginning the second week of July. We have ordered copies of the book from Tyndale for $20 and will arrange delivery to your place of residence once they arrive. Please register to let us know you want to participate and to request a copy of the book. If money is tight, please let us know and we can cover the cost.
