On Sunday, September 6, after the 10:30 AM service, all are invited for a Picnic at Biidaasige as we enjoy a Sunday afternoon together at the park. How wonderful it will be to welcome our community back to the city and our regular rhythms after the wild majesty of summer, and to mark the beginning of the Season of Creation. At the newly reopened mouth of the Don River, Biidaasige Park (sunlight shining towards us) represents years of care and stewardship, making it a place of cultural and natural significance.
What will we do at the park? This casual afternoon gives us an opportunity to eat, play, and spend time in nature. Bring lunch for yourself and snacks to share (optional). We will begin with a prayer and a song, then disperse to enjoy the sunshine. Lor will lead an open nature walk, and the trails and playground are available for exploration.
Where will we meet: We will gather at 1 PM at the covered sitting area (near the Bus 114 stop)
How will we get to the park? Everyone is encouraged to find their way to the park on transit, by bicycle, or by car. Helpful information about how to get there is available here.
What if it rains? In case of inclement weather, we will not reschedule. The 4 PM service will not take place unless there is inclement weather.
