Something to Mourn
Sunday, May 1, 2022, 7:00pm
On April 20, the Anglican Church of Canada announced the resignation of Indigenous Archbishop Mark MacDonald after allegations of sexual misconduct. We gather as a community of prayer.
We gather to create space for lament, to pray for healing, and recommit ourselves to the work of justice and the life we are called to. We will pray for the complainant, the MacDonald family, our Indigenous brothers, sisters, and siblings, and our church as a whole as we journey through this difficult time.
To join us on Zoom, please use this link
For the safety of all who attend services at the church, we will be following the guidelines provided by the Diocese of Toronto. Wearing a mask is encouraged.
Things you may want to have if you join in through Zoom (for those attending in the church, these will be available there):
a small bowl of water
a stone
a candle
Our ability to continue to offer outreach support through the Common Table and prayerful presence to the whole community is possible thanks to the generous donations of parishioners and friends of the community. If you would like to share in this on-going work, your gifts are gratefully received. Thank you for your generosity.
