Join the community that gathers at Church of the Redeemer for Christmas!
Christmas Eve:
3 PM – Cozy Christmas – This service is for all ages from babies to seniors and everyone in between and all are encouraged to wear your coziest, most comfortable clothing – yes, even your Christmasy PJs! Together, we share in recalling the birth of the baby Jesus through story, carols and the Eucharist. Whether you find a seat encircling the action or gather in the midst of the congregation to be closer to the action, there is a place for you in this celebration.
As is our custom, we gather both in the church building and through the live stream on our YouTube channel.
7:30 PM – Rockin’ Christmas Eve – Our Rock Vespers band will lead the music, including traditional carols, for this service. The service will also be available through our YouTube channel.
10:30 PM – Traditional Christmas Eve – Join in as we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child. Beautiful choral music, readings, prayers, a homily along with communion, give shape to this service. We will gather both in the church and online through our YouTube channel.
Christmas Day:
10:30 AM – Sung Eucharist – The quiet has come. We are invited to draw nearer, to welcome the Prince of Peace. Through carols, sermon and bread and wine we remember the Christmas story. The service will be both in the church and live-streamed on our YouTube channel.
The First Sunday after Christmas:
9 AM – Worship on Zoom – Gathering online, our virtual doors open at 8.45 AM for conversation. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join in through Zoom as the community prepares for worship together. At 9 AM, a simple service of Spiritual Communion is offered. A homily, hymns and prayers are the foundation of this service. Linger afterwards for a time of fellowship. The Zoom link is sent out through eNews on Friday.
10:30 AM – Sung Eucharist – We gather for worship: through scripture, song, homily and the Eucharist we mark the days of the liturgical year. Linger afterwards for a time of fellowship. The service is also live-streamed through our YouTube channel. We remember that wearing a mask in the church is welcomed as part of our care for one another. Today we celebrate the First Sunday after Christmas in the liturgical year.
The Epiphany of the Lord:

4 PM – Be Still – The church’s doors are open. The candles lit. The busy-ness of the city left behind as you enter the worship space. Taizé chant at 4PM. More candles to light. Prayer. Stillness. In times such as this, there is space for you to…Be Still. Join us for a new expression of Taizé in the church building or online through YouTube.
