The chairs of your Getting Our House in Order team took great pleasure in announcing the big news closing the formal Getting Our House in Order fundraising project. You have raised $812,000, which will be used to make this house of ours a greater place to share with each other and the world around us.
This total includes around $600,000 already given and approximately $200,000 in pledges still being paid. Your overwhelming generosity and willingness to assess your abilities are met with pure gratitude.
Progress can already be seen with new lighting on the outside west wall and glimmering windows ready to give us many years of beauty. Soon the scaffold will come down and the sun light will shine through them.
Mark your calendars! After the 10:30 AM service on Sunday, May 26, as a community, we will both celebrate with a lunch and have a special vestry. To include a wide audience, this special vestry will be in person as well as on Zoom. Here we will look at these assets, look at our “to do” list, and decide how to move forward getting this house in order.
With joy and gratitude,
Joan Robinson and Richard Van Delft
